Problem
Current music players are boring — they do exactly what you ask with little room for serendipity. Where’s the excitement? Where’s the variety? What do you do when you’re tired of your music collection?
Ever since the mix tape, sharing songs with your friends has been the best way to discover and experience new music. Friends surprise us, influence our tastes, and give us reason to like a song. Unfortunately, as we move towards digital and streaming media, discovering new music through friends has become increasingly difficult. Walled-in music players, digital copy protection, and legal battles over distribution rights have all stood in the way of the online mix tape. At friendradio, we’re set on changing this.
Solution
friendradio is a full-on social music player. Instead of abstractly trying to guess what songs you might like, we bring you music from your friends and unlock the musical diversity within the people you like best.
Think of friendradio as a tunable radio station, useable from the start with the artists listed in your friends’ Facebook profiles and gradually improving as you use it. Favorited songs spread amongst you and your friends, and you can tune in and out on specific friends based on their musical tastes. Check us out and prepare to be pleasantly surprised (http://friendradio.fm)!
